Copper The Teal by Louise Borton
Acrylic 17 cms x 17 cms

Teal is a colour that haunts me and demands attention. In this SASabstract a luminescent copper pounces into leading role. Energetic palette knife marks adorn this Small Affordable Square Abstract from Louise Borton. Watch the colours flash as you the light catches the painting. What will come out of the mix?

Surfing Colours by Louise Borton
Oil 17 cms x 17 cms

Surfing Colours captures the prismatic effect of light on water. This multi coloured Small Affordable Square abstract is rendered in oils. Dark colours merge into token rainbow shades to meet the low horizon in this powerful abstract artwork.

Tangled Tentacles by Louise Borton
Acrylic 17 cms x 17 cms

A tangle of yellow tentacles plunge into a red worm hole. The lightness of the yellow threads delays their descent and whips them into a floating jumbled mass. One of Louise Borton SAS abstract paintings in acrylic.

Distraction from C mini abstract by Louise Borton
Acrylic 40 cms x 40 cms

Distraction from C is designed to instill mindfulness at a difficult time in The World. Inspired by the larger abstract "In the Net" I am still caught up in the everchanging movement of confinement and control. Distraction from C is a layered abstract artwork with a base of salmon pink and a mix of opaque and translucent scarlets and blues. There is a creature within but you will need to spend time in mindfulness to find it.

Biography
Insatiably curious Louise Borton currently creates compelling mesmerising abstracts.  Her new square acrylic works are initiated from close observation of  nature, twisted trees or maybe a lobster.  Man made structures also appeal especially light that bounces in alluring ways.  Her abstracts grow organically with brush and palette knife.  She considers this Automatic Painting to music as the works develop subconsciously.  A new world is born on canvas.  Louise Borton’s Fine Art Paintings invite you to see your own universe within her work.

SAS Abstracts.  They are Small. They are Affordable.  They are Square.  Visually enticing and vibrantly executed, these little treasures are small enough to sneak home . With a mount they measure 10 inches.

This globetrotting, self-taught British Artist constantly strives to evolve her artistic talents.  Louise challenges herself to accomplish new techniques resulting in refreshing visuals. Travel and nature inspired paintings in oils and pastels are echoes of the Artist’s life. Louise Borton’s career evolved from landscape painting.  She exhibited in Wales and England between 2000 and 2007. Sable and Hogg Gallery in Brecon Wales is a continued supporter of her Fine Art work.

Louise’s squeaky toy collection grew in response to new Commissions.  A new outlet for animal and human portraiture emerged.  Her pastel Hereford Bull found favour both in The UK and the USA.  The beast made the judged entry to The Royal Birmingham Society of Art in 2016.  The Pastel Journal gave the same creature an Honorable mention in their 2017 Pastel 100 Competition.  By 2018 he was snorting on the front of The Irish Hereford Journal.

Louise feared going out to meet the public, so she bravely challenged herself.  Between 2015 -2017 The Artist set up displays and live pastel demonstrations at Herefordshire Country Fair.  Commissions followed.
