Surprise, AZ - 6235848311Biography
Similar to many artists, Sharon's deep affection for art began at an early age. In the remote rural elementary school located in Bluewater, New Mexico a fifth grade teacher introduced portrait drawing and watercolors to the class. This was her first exposure to art. The Navajo and Apache children also attended the Bluewater school and fascinated Sharon. Their features, clothes, and culture provided interesting subject matter to sketch and paint. A passion for art and painting was deeply imprinted during this time.
On completing high school Sharon's parents encouraged her pursuit of a formal education and career in art. She graduated with a MSN from Columbia University in New York City. Life was quite busy with family and career but her passion for art persisted.
