Born and raised a hunter, Wes Thomas has long been associated with the wild and the chase. His art is a unique blend of his experience in the wilderness, showing the subjects he hunts, views and loves with brush stroke and oil paint. His work is reminiscent of the old German hunting lodge, with fine detail and exact attention to subject matter and environment. Inspiration is greatly drawn in from the great Wilhelm Kuhnert, where he has studied his original works in the studio of the renowned Michael Coleman. He has received tutoring and guidance from Michael as a high school student and was shown many of the techniques that this master painter uses. Wes was born November 3, 1993 in Delta, Utah. His father is a hunting guide and passionate about the outdoors, and this passion has distilled into the son. He has since moved to Wyoming, where he continues to hunt, fish, pursue and paint. He is dedicated to the fine art of the adventuresome sportsman.
