Crystal Cove Shoreline by Teresa Dominici
Acrylic x 16"x20", (40x50cm)

The Crystal Cove Historic District is a 12.3-acre coastal portion of the 2,791-acre Crystal Cove State Park. The federally listed Historic District is an enclave of 46 vintage rustic coastal cottages originally built as a seaside colony in the 1930's and '40's and nestled around the mouth of Los Trancos Creek. It is one of the last remaining examples of early 20th century Southern California coastal development.

Biography
I  consider myself very fortunate to have frequent opportunities to travel throughout the world . Influenced, I think by my many travels unique multi-cultural-ism, I enjoy sights, people, and scenery. I have been given a chance to not only enjoy these wonderful countries, but also to take many photos and sketches to use as reference material for my art.

It is when I return home from a trip, I will go through my many sketches that are like compositions for me, notes and photos taken during my vacation and then sketch it again on canvas, and if I can capture those moments where I was, and make a lasting impression on canvas, then I have succeed in sharing an amazing thing.

The joy in painting for me lies in the process of creating. As soon as I dip my brush in water, load it with pigment and introduce it to my canvas, I’m in a different world. I love colors and am intrigued by the surprises that emerge as the painting unfolds. When successful, the final work will capture my viewers' attention and the beauty of each of the landscape and its many moods.

I was born and part of my childhood lived in East Africa and in Italy where I traveled extensively within both countries. I lived in many places in the world but make my home  in the beautiful San Diego, California with my family. Outside of the US, I have traveled to Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, the Seychelles, Mozambique, Italy, England, Greece, Spain, France, Costa Rica, Mexico and Tunisia.

It all began back in 2006, after watching a friend creating beautiful seascapes and landscape; I decided to teach myself to paint by watching video about art, reading books and visiting galleries. I took up painting seriously in 2009 encouraged by my family and [...]
