Music has a way of bringing you back to a time and place. I aspire for the same to be true of my work—to bring the viewer to a place and moment in time. Much of my work is in direct response to places I have been, glimpses of the extraordinary in a simple landscape. The effects of color and light on the landscape can be magical. These magical and often fleeting effects are what I try to capture in each painting.
