Born in Brooklyn, New York, Adria grew up surrounded by a creative family. Her grandmother was a noted New York blouse designer of Dimarco Creations, and both her mother and aunt were painters.
Though art has always been her first love, she served in the mental health field as a rehabilitation counselor for 25 years. Now retired, she devotes herself to her art.
Adria studied acrylic and oil painting with Bert Collins in Ojai, California and Mary Mulvihill in Fallbrook, California. She continues to develop a refined painterly style to convey emotions and feelings through her distinctive brushstrokes, color and composition. Adria’s work conveys balance, harmony, and emotion. “I am not interested in painting realistic images, but the images I sense.”
She has two grown daughters and currently lives in San Diego County with her horse, Andy, and her two whippets, Bentley, and Charlotte.
