Houston, TX - Biography
I’ve painted most of my life – starting in the fourth grade when my dance teacher left town and my mother had the good sense to enroll me in an after-school art class. It was a wise move; I never would have made it to Radio City Music Hall. That art class launched a passion for creating art, and that passion eventually became a career.
In 2013, after many years of painting the Texas Gulf Coast and Hill Country, I found new inspiration in the beauty of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and its wonderful people. I also discovered a love for painting the horses I photographed at the annual "Blessing of the Horses" at the city's Parroquia (the big church).
Now I've come full circle. After four years in San Miguel, I'm back in Houston where I've opened a new studio at The Silos at Sawyer Yards, 1502 Sawyer. I'll continue to paint horses, but no doubt, I'll be painting those Gulf Coast seagulls and Hill Country landscapes. So, stay tuned for what's going on in my studio!
